We Lorettos had a great weekend. I went swimming (aka sitting in the hottub) with Sarah, Noelle, and their kids on Friday night. Jacob and I did some of our smaller house projects, like finally changing the light fixture in the bathroom after we've had the new one for over a year. I'm hosting the first meeting of a bookclub in a few weeks so we are trying to do some little sprucing up projects before then. (On a side note the bookclub should be lots of fun! There are 10 of us total, I think, and we are starting off with Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafron .)
We finished off our weekend by celebrating Father's Day with Daddy and Nell at Jardines in San Juan Bautista. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time!
Based on the goose poop story its safe to say I am still running. I took a break when the house was tented and we lived in a hotel, I didn't really want to go running down N First Street, so I fell of the track for a period. Back on the running now. However I am still working at progressing through the weeks of my program. Not quite doing it on schedule, but thats the good thing about being signed up for runs that are still a few months (or more) away. I can train and build up my endurance at my own pace.
My post run ritual is to relax in the breeze on the patio until I no longer look like a tomato. Tonight miss Molly was out there with me. She hasn't had any blog love in a while so here's her new headshot to share...

I've read that book. Should give lots of opportunity for discussion, and research into the Spanish Civil War. And the geese might be resident - they never go away, they just become more active and more numerous in the spring and summer with all the babies. What park are you running at?
I'm running at Hellyer Park, take a left at the driveway and I'm there before I know it. There's a little lake there, we like to call it Lake Loretto, but the County calls it Cottonwood Lake. By the time I get to the lake, around the lake 3 times and home again I complete 2.5 miles.
