A blog for S & A

A log of my adventures with J over the last three days….

I picked J up from football practice where he had been playing hard. I’m sure you can use your parental radar to identify which one he is….

Friday J went to school where he had a great day… I got to meet a lot of your friends who were all incredibly nice. After school we headed downtown where our first stop was Owenhouse to pick up some shades (0.99 from the Grandpa Gary $$)…..

We went to the rock shop where J got another bag to add to his collection and I got a beautiful fall pashmina, what a unique collection of things they have in that store, but they were all REALLY cool things.

I think we were there for half an hour in part chatting with the owner. The Bowdens joined us there and J spent almost half of his remaining GG$ buying D a pair of earrings, it was a very sweet gesture. Our downtown evening continued with a $3 candy splurge and dinner at Burger Bobs.

After leaving downtown we stopped at Walmart where J spent 30 minutes discerning the most economical way to spend the rest of the GG$.....

This morning we were bright and early (J actually got out of bed totally on his own @6:40!) for the big game! The Bowdens came to watch too and we all had a great time! J got in a couple of good tackles and he obviously loved every minute of being there!

After the game we did some errands in town and lunch (Fuddruckers where J beat me at both a motorcycle race and some air hockey), then home to read, relax, and do some chores, before Mrs. M came by.

Some major sweeping was done (this is the pile being swept out the door):

Which led to:

But she was easily “captured” and brought back inside!

We took our Wii Baseball very seriously!

Uncle D & little D came over for dinner, but first we played hard!! Lots of ball play:

Which led to:
(To be clear this is not an injury but a boost to go retrieve a ball)

Followed by some water play:

Which led to:

Please notice the pants of choice, still being worn at 5PM! I’m pretty sure that if a shower had not been required this evening he would be sleeping in those (and I tried a lot of different persuasion tactics throughout the day to get those pants in the laundry).

D helped me make dinner while J read his new book and we all ended up with a “picturesque” little family dinner!

All together a great couple of days and tomorrow looks like it should be fun too!
