A mini tour

Well I have finished all of the current painting projects. Technically I still have to paint the inside of my pantry before the kitchen is done, but its all liveable again and I'm not in the mood to keep painting right now so it can wait.

Coming up is a before and after of our living room, dining room and kitchen. We painted the living room in August. The inspiration for the kitchen came straight off of a paint sample card (but the colors I used are not exact), I chose the color scheme right after we moved in, but the three rooms are connected and it took a long time to settle on colors for the other rooms that would connect to the kitchen and that we really liked.

In the kitchen we also installed a new microwave/fume hood. As you can see we like to keep it very minimal on the counter tops. I actually spent a good amount of time reorganizing the cupboards and pantry so I could put things like our toasters away. I am hoping though to get a Kitchenaid stand mixer soon, now that I have room for it, and it'll be the only big thing on the counter.

I really like it all! We took a break in working today, which was mostly cleaning, to go an eat some pho on this rainy day. It was so perfect! Now that its all done I'm watching the Giants game with some turnovers in the oven.
