I can see the past!!

Sometime in decades past this was daddy...

Note the styling specs...  When he got them I am sure that they were the height of cool. In fact I love this picture because I see a rebel and something about seeing daddy as a rebel appeals to me. He just looks so cool.

Now here are those same glasses in 1982... that is a baby me in his lap.

Still wearing those glasses, admittedly still making them look pretty cool. Now he continued to wear those same glasses for another ten years or so, yes into the '90s. We teased him like crazy about this! I realize now that our house didn't function on a budget that allowed for new glasses just because styles change. Sure enough, when daddy got new glasses it was because he needed bifocals. I tell this story because I got some new glasses today.

Same as daddy's but tortoise shell as opposed to black. Just proof positive that if he had kept them they would have come back into style. I love them though!! I was totally drawn to these frames as a tribute to him. To be just like daddy!
