A great surprise!!!

Jacob is really good at pulling off surprises! He doesn't get giddy about the fun that's coming and spill the beans (that's what I do - I have no skill at keeping surprises a secret). In the past he has surprised me with things like having pre-bought Harry Potter opening day tickets, or taking me to a Fleetwood Mac concert, that one I totally wasn't ready for - totally not dressed right. Typically he gets us in the car going somewhere basic - like to pick up dinner or run down to the office for a forgotten something, but instead of going where I think we are headed he drives us to the surprise.

Yesterday I got another great surprise - maybe the best one yet!! And I got a little notice, so I had time to look cute and get really excited about where we were headed. Oh yeah, I should probably tell you where that was! Well he was able to get tickets (through one his stagehands) to see THE JUDDS!!!!! That's right, last night I was treated to three hours of Wynonna and Naomi!! They sang all the old favorites and Wy did a fair share of her solo hits too!! I can now check this off my bucket list!!

The other great thing about Jacob is that he is willing to sit through concerts with me when he's not especially a fan of the music - like last year when we went to see New Kids on the Block. He's not a fan of country music as a whole, but I play enough Judds that he knows the music. Regardless he stayed with me through the entire three hour show, and he drove us to Oakland, after having commuted up that way all week long for work.
