Simple evenings are the best.

Spent this evening in a kayak on Lexington. Watched Jacob and Galen practice rolling their boats and some "rescue" scenarios. It was so enjoyable! I had a massive bag of cherries that I ate as I floated around. If I drifted too far just a couple quick paddles and I was right back to where I wanted to be. The water was like bathwater and felt so good on my toes as they dangled over the boat. The truly best part was getting off the water right at sunset. It was so beautiful over the water and the mountains beyond. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera so I was only able to capture it in my memory. Stopped for ice cream on the way home (okay it was Weiner Schnitzel, but I got a freezee to go with my corn dog - almost the same thing) and now I shall retire to re-reading The Deathly Hallows in anticipation of next weekends movie release.
